our impact

Voices of Tomorrow was founded by teachers that noticed the disconnect in services for East African communities located in the metro Seattle area. Culture and language barriers, and a lack of access often hinder our families’ ability to use systems, organizations, and institutions to their advantage. VOT created a comprehensive and robust program to ensure the success of families, children, and community.

Research shows that children can become multilingual at a young age, and our dual language program teaches.

King County is home to 153,600 children under six years of age and their families. 25% of children in our King County with all parents in the workforce do not have access to early learning licensed childcare or ECEAP/Head Start program.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the health and wellbeing of King County residents, exacerbating inequities in health, housing, and economic stability, and straining Immigrant and Refugee communities.

By age five, 90 percent of a child’s brain has developed. Investing in high-quality dual language early childhood education builds the foundation for future learning, behavior, and health.
